Colin was born in Grand Island, NE, and grew up in the smaller town of Aurora, NE, only 15 miles away. As a child, Colin won a state writing competition, with his piece (a short story about a trip to the pumpkin patch) now sitting in archival storage at the capitol building in Lincoln. Colin is attending Wayne State College, majoring in English Writing & Literature, with a minor in Editing and Publishing. Two of his stories were published in the Press’ student magazine, Judas Goat, acting as a continuation of his goal of becoming an author. Though with limitations accepted, Colin plans on becoming a professor and publication editor.
