MAX McELWAIN taught in the Communication Arts Department at Wayne State College. He holds a Ph.D in American studies from the University of Kansas. His books include Semi-Pro and Other Stories, Profiles in Communication, and The Only Dance in Iowa: A History of Six-Player Girls Basketball.
